Nothing like Purim

First, we throwback

Let’s run through the years. The time we stayed up till 3 in the morning taking turns on the microphone. The living room Kumsitz. The beanie merch with a party bus driving around Crown Heights. No matter what Purim is, it’s always a good time.

This year is no exception! We have a Megillah and break-fast to get us started Monday night, an all-day open-house Seuda by the Marozov’s, and the grand finale, the after-Purim Kumsitz when there’s no more running around and we can all just enjoy the last few hours of holiday. So this year, what will you join?

30 hours of fun

Choose your own adventure. (Just don’t miss the Kumsitz!) Also, choose your own price—if you’re feeling generous, def throw down, but either way, we want YOU (and your RSVP).

End-of-Purim Kumsitz

The whole Purim you bounce around. The drinks are flowing, the food is flying, you’re not sure whose house you’re at, but it’s definitely a great time. Enter FOMO. There’s that little voice at the back of your head—”what’s everyone else doing right now?” That’s the voice that keeps us bouncing.

Then Purim night hits. You can’t look at food, but it’s only 9pm. It’s a work night, but it’s also Purim. Do you really want to go home and watch TV?

The end-of-Purim Kumsitz is those few precious hours when you have nowhere else to be and nowhere to run. You get to just focus on soaking up all that holy Purim energy.

Excited to be led by Duvy Burston this year along with Schneur Gordon—and YOU! We always love more instruments. (Your voice counts as an instrument.)

Upstairs Bakehouse - corner of Empire and Albany. (Hopefully on your way home?)

Starting 9PM and hope to wrap up by midnight.

See you there!

Purim FAQs

  • Return what? I say we call it a donation and everyone’s happy, including Hashem.

  • Don’t overthink it. Just come! There will be other people with the means and the heart to cover events. And if not, well, there’s always a Charidy campaign….

  • No worries. We know Purim can be dysfunctional, er, spontaneous. This website will exist throughout Purim, and you can always book in real time. You’re forgiven in advance for forgetting.

  • Let’s see…are you in our 20s and 30s, Chabad-aligned, and a fun chill person? Come on in!

  • Townhouse might be 80% singles, but that’s just because the couples quickly escape to Miami. We love our couples!
