On this holy and auspicious day, it’s a special time to increase in the mitzvah of tzedakah.
If you believe that it’s important for the young people of Crown Heights to have a vibrant and inspiring Chassidic community to be part of, consider supporting Townhouse.
We’re a 501c3 non profit relying on the generous donations from people like you to continue providing value for Crown Heights. Happy Purim! And may you see many blessings revealed in merit of your charity.
L’chaim!
If you haven’t been to the Marozov’s on Purim yet, this is your chance to right that wrong.
This is an annual tradition — a Purim feast where everyone is welcome, stop in, bring a friend, hang out, grab a plate, hear the Megillah, all that.
Megillah will be read at 1:00pm and 3:00pm
Excited to party!
Get your Purim started right with your Townhouse fam.
Come hear megillah in our living room followed by chill food and hang.
Then you can either head to your all-night rager, move on to the next pre-game, or even go home and get an early night. (We won’t tell anyone.)
Light buffet featuring some dairy options. Cheesecake hamantaschen, anyone?
Costume contest by majority vote — with a prize!!!
Witkes home - 1154 Sterling Pl between Kingston and Albany
6PM Maariv followed by Megillah
We aim to be on-time for the sake of hunger, so definitely try and make it by 6:15 latest!
Can’t wait!
The whole Purim you bounce around. The drinks are flowing, the food is flying, you’re not sure whose house you’re at, but it’s definitely a great time. Enter FOMO. There’s that little voice at the back of your head—”what’s everyone else doing right now?” That’s the voice that keeps us bouncing.
Then Purim night hits. You can’t look at food, but it’s only 9pm. It’s a work night, but it’s also Purim. Do you really want to go home and watch TV?
The end-of-Purim Kumsitz is those few precious hours when you have nowhere else to be and nowhere to run. You get to just focus on soaking up all that holy Purim energy.
Excited to be led by Duvy Burston this year along with Schneur Gordon—and YOU! We always love more instruments. (Your voice counts as an instrument.)
Upstairs Bakehouse - corner of Empire and Albany. (Hopefully on your way home?)
Starting 9PM and hope to wrap up by midnight.
See you there!
This course has been generously subsidized by a friend of Townhouse to support Torah learning in our community. Thank you!
All participants will receive their very own student workbooks to use during the classes.
Enter your number during checkout—you’ll be added to a JLIxTownhouse WhatsApp group. Class locations will be sent out on the group each week.
The course will be taught by Rabbi Yonatan Azrielant, a gifted speaker and JLI scholar.
Looking forward to learning and growing together :)
